WORKING FIVE DAYS OUT OF SEVEN (ROTA PROVIDED)

START TIMES: 04:00

£13.50 - £27.00 PER HOUR 

People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Peterborough.

This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

To be considered for this role you MUST have a minimum of 24 months continuous commercial driving experience.

Hourly Rates of Pay (PAYE):

• Basic: £13.50
• Overtime after 8 hours: £20.25
• Saturday: £20.25
• Sunday: £27.00
• Bank Holiday: £27.00

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a 7.5T Driver will involve but not be limited to:

• Delivering most building materials and home interior improvements products (not bathrooms and kitchens)
• Operate and drive various 7.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
• Ensure all cargo is loaded and secured properly
• Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
• Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
• Assist with loaded and unloading of cargo as needed

Essential Skills

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you must:

• Be able to work as part of a team
• Have a minimum of 24 months continuous experience driving Category C1 vehicles
• Have no more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
• Be able to use PDA (personal digital assistant)
• Hold a valid UK Category C1 Licence
• Hold a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
• Be able to speak and read a good level of English
• Have excellent punctuality and time keeping skills
• Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
• Have effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

•  Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial
•  Previous experience conducting multi drop deliveries will be beneficial

Training 

• Six-hour online training must be completed before attending assessment
• Driver's Assessment will have to be completed
• After successful Assessment, there will be an on-job training
