The shift pattern for this position is Monday- Friday.
The Glasgow Community Children’s Nursing Team have 1.0wte fixed term band 5 Staff Nurse post available (37 hours per week). The CCN team hours of service are Monday to Friday 09:00- 1700. You will be expected to provide an accessible, appropriate, high quality, culturally sensitive and effective nursing service to the 0-19 year age group in the community by working in partnership with service users, care providers and other agencies. Under direction of the Team Lead and Band 6 caseload holder the post holder will be responsible for the assessment of care needs of the child and family and the development, implementation and evaluation of a holistic family centred care plan.
You will provide advice, support and training to parents and carers; empower parents and carers, to provide care for children at home or in other community settings. You will work with colleagues from Acute Services, Education, Social Work and the wider Health team in Specialist Community Paediatric Services, as well as all statutory and voluntary agencies to promote joint working and high standards of care. The post holder will be expected to work throughout the NHS Greater Glasgow area.
It is essential that you are an NMC Registered Nurse. You must be able to provide evidence of continued professional development. You must be able to demonstrate good communication skills. It is essential that you hold a current driver licence and have access to a car for work purposes. This post requires PVG Scheme Membership/Disclosure Scotland Check.
