BAM Ritchies is currently recruiting for a Service Coordinator to join our team at our Kilsyth, Scotland Workshop and depot. The role will be to assist service to other managers within the department in their day-to-day operational activities of busy projects. Working within the Operations Team to continually improve our safety, systems, processes and provide continued support of our plant and equipment.

Your mission
As a Service Coordinator, you will be responsible for the following:
Record/process regular plant inspections and services
Provide scheduled servicing requirements to supervisors and managers
Book external examinations with third-party providers and advise clients
Request and order materials through SAP procurement system on a timely basis.
Plan and or manage pre-insurance inspections on owned and hired equipment.
Coordinating service schedules, submitting and tracking lubricant samples
Ensuring proper upkeep/tracking repairs of plant and communicating with engineers/end user to guarantee smooth plant functionality and optimal performance.
Compliance management of workshop and its activities
Analyse non- conformities identifying trends, implementing pro-active maintenance regimes
Report, Analyse and close out repairs within the systems: If optimal performance is not being reached identify area for improvement, service trends etc
Computer literate, excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, ACC, SAP, Exel, Word
COSHH coordination
Coordinate department training requirements
Provide dates for the internal document review process.
This role is essential in ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, managing stock and equipment, maintaining depot safety and cleanliness, and assisting with general site maintenance.
Conduct safety checks, enforce site safety procedures, and report any issues
Ensure all personnel and visitors are equipped with the necessary PPE and safety briefings
Assist with vehicle loading/unloading, site setups, and general yard tasks
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, and team members
Who are we looking for?
Essential:
Previous experience in a similar role.
Strong organisational and time management skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Good communication and problem-solving abilities
Preferred:
Experience handling construction equipment and materials
Forklift licence and a valid driver’s license
