People Solutions are currently recruiting for a 7.5 Tonne Driver to join our well-established client based in Newmarket, Suffolk.

Rates of Pay:

£12.73 per hour - minimum of eight hours per shift paid

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a 7.5 Tonne Driver will involve but not be limited to:

•  RDC or Brewery Deliveries no handball (working on curtain-side)
•  Operate and drive various 7.5 Tonne vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations
•  Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
•  Multidrop parcel delivery
•  Adhere to traffic laws and regulations
•  Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers
•  Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management
•  Up to five drops per day - with no heavy lifting

Essential Skills

As a 7.5 Tonne Driver you will need to:

•  Hold a valid UK Category C1 Licence
•  Have a minimum of twelve months experience driving Category C1 vehicles
•  No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes
•  Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card
•  Must be able to speak and read a good level of English
•  Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills
•  Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations
•  Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

• Experience driving any commercial vehicles 
• Previous experience with multi drop deliveries
