Job Purpose

As a Business Analyst in the Standards IT team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting projects on the LGC Standards Digital Plan, which align with the strategic direction set by the LGC Standards Senior Leadership Team.

This role is a 6-month contract, during which you will work with senior stakeholders to understand their business needs and support the execution of Salesforce projects that deliver Artificial Intelligence (AI) capabilities, operational efficiencies and improvements to processes and data.

Key Responsibilities

  • As a key member of the LGC Standards IT Team, you will work closely with the Senior Project Manager and be responsible for liaising with Standards stakeholders to capture and analyse business needs (requirements) for the projects you are assigned to.
  • Defining tangible benefits associated with each project and ensuring they are aligned to strategic goals for the Standards Digital Plan.
  • Coordinating UAT and escalating issues for remediation to ensure that the project meets business requirements.
  • Developing strong relationships with key business stakeholders.
  • Producing and delivering against the agreed project deliverables and key milestones.
  • Contributing to a clear improvement in project delivery within the team.
  • Work across LGC IT and Standards business unit with effective engagement across all teams

Qualifications

Knowledge, Experience and Technical Skills

  • Formal qualification in business analysis and requirements definition (at practitioner level).
  • Experience at defining and documenting business requirements.
  • Excellent communications skills; able to provide well balanced communications to senior business representatives regarding relevant project outputs.
  • Highly organised individual capable of defining project and driving though to delivery against defined plan.
  • The ability to articulate the associated business impact of requirements.
  • Analytical mindset with excellent interpersonal and problem solving skills.
  • Experience of managing project deliverables through a Matrix Management construct.
  • Responds positively to changing priorities and project issues.
