Job DescriptionThe Electric Vehicle (EV) Project Manager is responsible for overseeing the planning, implementation, and tracking of projects. 
 
You will liaise with various departments, managing project timelines, budgets, and resources, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget. You will work closely with engineering, manufacturing, marketing, and external stakeholders to drive project success and support the company’s strategic goals. 
 
We need a project manager capable of overseeing our projects to ensure our high standards are maintained, works are delivered on time and to budget and the customer experience remains of paramount importance throughout project delivery. 
 Job RequirementsEssential: 

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Business Administration or related field
  • C&G L3 Electrotechnical Qualification
  • C&G BS7671:2018 Wiring Regulations
  • C&G 2391 (or equivalent) Inspection and Testing
  • C&G 2919 (or equivalent) Electric Vehicle Charging
  • Proven experience as a Project Manager, preferably in the automotive or electric vehicle industry.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Asana, Trello).
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively under pressure.
Desirable: 
  • Experience working with or alongside DNO’s and IDNO’s and ICP connections experience would be advantageous.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
Job Responsibilities•  Support Operations to plan and deploy resources for EV ChargePoint installations.
•  Develop comprehensive project plans, outlining project scope, goals, deliverables, resources, and timelines.
•  Define project tasks and resource requirements.
•  Assemble and coordinate project staff, including internal team members and external consultants or contractors.
•  Manage project budgets, ensuring cost-effectiveness and adherence to financial constraints.
•  Oversee the execution of project activities, ensuring all project phases are completed according to schedule.
•  Monitor and report on project progress, identifying any potential risks or issues and implementing corrective actions as necessary.
•  Conduct regular project status meetings with team members and stakeholders to review progress and address any challenges.
•  Prepare NICEIC Electrical Installation Certificates.
•  Serve as the primary point of contact for all project-related communications.
•  Prepare and deliver regular project updates, reports, and presentations to senior management and stakeholders.
•  Ensure effective communication and collaboration among project team members and stakeholders.
•  Ensure that all project activities comply with relevant regulations, standards, and industry best practices.
•  Implement quality assurance processes to guarantee the delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
•  Conduct post-project evaluations and identify areas for improvement.
•  Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies.
•  Maintain a risk register and ensure that all project risks are managed proactively.
•  Lead, mentor, and motivate project team members, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
•  Provide guidance and support to team members, helping them achieve project objectives and professional development goals.
