Your role:

You will supervise a team of staff delivering adaptations to council and private properties ensuring long term solutions that allow people to live great lives and provide best use of public money. You will assist with the strategic co-ordination of a cross-tenure adaptations service ensuring performance targets are met and best use of the Council’s housing stock is made to assist individuals with specific and often complex housing needs. You will play a key role in supervising contractors and consultants supporting the delivery of major and complex adaptations ensuring excellent quality standards are achieved in all areas focusing on the individual needs of the often, vulnerable client group.


About you:

You will have a passion for delivering outstanding customer centred services, thinking creatively to find solutions to individual problems. You will have excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop successful working relationships with colleagues and partners. You will be an inspirational manager with the ability to motivate your teams working in a fast-paced environment. You will hold a Level 4 Qualification in a related field or have an equivalent level of experience of working in a relevant field supporting vulnerable or complex individuals. You will have a good level of knowledge of legislation relating to, adaptations, disabled facilities grants and building regulations.
