The RoleWe are looking to recruit an Account Manager / Customer Services to join our growing Team within the Heavy Haulage department. This role is a full-time position and consideration will be given to individuals who have previous experience. As a high calibre Account Manager, you will drive engagement and collaboration to sell solutions to our clients.Due to new contracts this exciting opportunity has arisen to join the team at Metcalfe Farms Haulage Ltd based at the company’s head office in Leyburn, North Yorkshire. The successful candidate will join a fast-paced environment alongside an experienced team of planners and account managers. The post holder will work with customers, planners and drivers to deliver a cost-effective and compliant service.Key aspects of the role include:•Some previous Account Manager experience is essential (logistics industry experience is preferred)•Liaise with customers as their main point of contact to ensure their needs and any concerns are dealt with effectively as possible to develop and maintain strong relationships.•Develop a thorough understanding of our products to help identify upsell, cross-sell, and renewal opportunities.•Maintain accurate client records, keeping track of any contract updates and renewals•Build and strengthen client relationships to achieve long-term partnerships •Excellent client service skills required •Build and strengthen relationships with Drivers •Strong communication skills both verbal and written •Experience using Microsoft and OutlookRequirements The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an ability to prioritise, cope under pressure and work to strict deadlines. Good communication, IT skills, negotiating and numeracy skills are essential as is managing expectations across a wide range of competing needs. Attention to detail, a good work ethic and a willingness to cover a variety of tasks.
