Office Administration Assistant - Work from Home

Woking, England, gb

Job Description

At PA, you will be working within one of the most successful UK organisations in technology and product development, with a team who have an exceptional reputation for innovation and delivery across a range of industries such as consumer well-being, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics and medical devices.

Our team includes industry-leading experts in electronics, software development, mechanical engineering, applied science and industrial design. We offer all our engineering professionals career progression and tailored training to equip them with the tools they need to tackle complex and challenging projects through their careers.

As a Principal Consultant (PC), you will be trusted to work across the whole development lifecycle for clients, offering a rare opportunity to gain broad experiences from concept to delivery.  This is a great opportunity to not only work on some of the most challenging problems in the industry but also to see your solution through to deployment where it has a positive impact. Our PCs are also able to lead the development and growth of other team members, both in a formal (line management) and informal capacity.

PA offers a career in consulting, not just a job; a stake in our firm; and an environment where individuals and ideas matter.

We are looking for candidates who have some of the following skills:

  • Well versed in a breadth of electronics disciplines that could include:
    • Analogue and mixed-signal circuit design (PCB) for measurement systems
    • Digital circuit design (FPGA)
    • Embedded closed-loop control
    • Model-based or data-driven design (MATLAB, Python)
  • Experience architecting complex, multidisciplinary products, working within teams of electronic, mechanical and software engineers as well as applied scientists.
  • Practical knowledge of how satisfy regulatory requirements in the development of medical and diagnostic devices.
  • An appreciation of a wide range of engineering and manufacturing principles and the process of transferring a product to market.
  • Confidence communicating complex engineering concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Commercial awareness of the challenges facing our clients and experience of business development in healthcare and life sciences.

Flexible working - We are guided by our client work and needs; however, you have autonomy to manage your time and diary to suit your work/life balance.

Qualifications

  • Energy and enthusiasm to take on new and unfamiliar challenges coupled with the ability to innovate and develop deep insights.
  • Confidence as a technical lead that teams will follow, but not afraid to get ‘hands-on’ and work with the team to overcome challenges.
  • Passionate about developing the careers of less experienced team members.

We know the skill-gap and ‘somewhat need to tick every box’ can get in the way of meeting brilliant candidates, so please don’t hesitate to apply – we’d love to hear from you.
