Job Title: Classroom Support Assistant

About Us: We are working with a lovely Special Educational Needs School that are dedicated to providing a nurturing and inclusive learning environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive. We are currently seeking a compassionate and motivated SEND Teaching Assistant to join the team. This is an exciting opportunity for someone passionate about supporting students to succeed in their educational journey.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support to students with SEND, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
  • Assist the class teacher and other members of support staff in delivering tailored learning activities and adaptations to suit each students individual needs.
  • Support the emotional, social, and behavioural development of students.
  • Assist in the preparation of teaching resources and learning materials.
  • Promote an inclusive learning environment where all students feel valued and supported.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience working with children, ideally in a school or educational setting.
  • Knowledge or experience in supporting students with SEND.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students, parents, and staff.
  • Patience, empathy, and a positive attitude towards supporting students with additional needs.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

PLEASE NOTE: ALL successful applicants will require the relevant training, legal checks and MUST have the Right to Work in the UK. You MUST hold a valid Enhanced DBS that is on the Update Service OR be willing to apply for one.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
