Purpose of position
We are seeking an experienced Business Development Principal with a strong background in the Defence industry to drive new business opportunities and establish our company as a trusted supply partner within this sector. The successful candidate will leverage their industry knowledge and existing network to identify, develop, and secure new contracts.
Profile
- A specialist in Defence industry business development, comfortable in fast paced, complex, craft based, technical and commercial environment.
- A business winner, you can sell and scale our service offering, creating and sustaining sales revenue whilst building industry-wide stakeholder networks.
- Commercial, you have a strong commercial awareness and experience of the bid/proposal process and relevant industry standards in the Defence sector.
- Relationships, you build long-term commercially sound stakeholder relationships.
- Insights, you have understanding and access to industry intelligence, you are able to take a holistic view of the big picture, weighing both internal and external factors in order to maximise our presence and success in the market.
- You have the ability to understand and grow sales in a ‘craft based' organisation.
