We seek a Receptionist who embodies a cheerful demeanour and can create a welcoming first impression for Softcat. This is an onsite role based in our brand new office in Aldgate, central London.

Welcome our Visitors by demonstrating the Softcat Values

Your main role will be delivering exceptional customer service to our visitors and employees from our reception desk. You will be the first point of contact for any office related matters and assist the Workplace team to ensure a smooth running of the office. You will be required to handle incoming emails, facilitate a busy diary of internal room bookings and vendor visits, as well as arranging collection and distribution of mail and ad hoc courier requests. 

As a Receptionist, you'll be responsible for: 

  • Reception Duties - You will be operating from the reception desk and that includes general reception duties, such as front of house, customer, guest and vendor greeting and always ensuring a welcoming reception area.
  • Event Support - Assisting local departments and partners with delivering fantastic, engaging, employee focused events. This will include collaboration with our Founders team, Sales and Marketing, Charity team and Workplace peers.
  • Stakeholder Management - Support delivery of FM-related operational activities working in partnership with third-party service providers and in-house teams to meet the business and occupancy needs. A trusted team member who develops strong and positive relationships with our employees and key business stakeholders in the office.
  • Building Services & Maintenance - Assist the Workplace manager with the delivery of hard services i.e., HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical. Facilitate and undertake ad-hoc daily event requests by local departments. 
  • Health, Safety & Environmental - Have knowledge of fire, health and safety, and environmental procedures and support the Workplace team when updates are needed. Ensure Fire Warden, First Aid and Manual Handling lists etc; are up to date and adequate cover is maintained. Ensure signage is correct, compliant, and updated i.e., Fire, maintenance, etc.
