About The Role
As T2 Ro-ro Superintendent, you will manage and coordinate all terminal operational activities, ensuring efficient receipt, storage, and dispatch of cargo via vessel, rail, or Border Control Post (BCP). This role also includes responsibility for load master and berthing master functions, compliance with border regulations, and maintaining high standards of safety, productivity, and customer service.
Key responsibilities:
Oversee efficient vessel, rail, and BCP operations, ensuring timely cargo handling and dispatch
Liaise with Shipping Lines and authorities to coordinate loading, inspections, and compliance
Ensure accurate record-keeping and reporting of operational performance
Promote and enforce Health & Safety standards, training, and safe working practices
Allocate and manage staff and resources effectively to meet operational demands
Maintain high levels of customer service, resolving issues promptly
Support administrative tasks including invoicing and documentation of non-contractual work
Drive continuous improvement in productivity, processes, and housekeeping
Lead by example to foster strong employee relations and a positive team culture
What are we looking for?
We are seeking a proactive and experienced operations professional with strong leadership skills and a commitment to safety, compliance, and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on team player capable of managing a dynamic terminal environment and liaising with various stakeholders to ensure smooth, efficient cargo handling and despatch operations.
Skills and Qualifications:
Full, clean driving license
Physically fit and able to pass required HGV driver medicals
Certification for forklift, ro-ro tractors, reach stackers, and relevant attachments
Competent with terminal operating systems and IT tools
Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team
Self-motivated with strong problem-solving abilities
Experience in a similar operational or logistics environment preferred
