What's in it for you?
Minimum of £643 per week / £33,475 per year (calculation based on £12.50 per hour plus weekly bonus)
30% shift premium also applies to any Saturday work + half day off during the week so total working hours = 47.5hrs p/week.
Annual bonus of up to £1,000 paid out twice per year
£500 joining bonus payable after successful probation
Shift details: 47.5 hours per week, 5 days per week (Monday - Friday 7am - 5.30pm & Saturday 7am - 1pm on a rota basis)
In this role you will provide excellent support to the Transport and Loading Team, providing top class service to our customers. As a Loading Team operator, you will be responsible for loading and unloading lorries, building product stockpiles, attending to customers, general yard housekeeping and yard management duties.
All roles will contribute to ensure delivery of company products.
You will receive in-house accredited forklift Training.

About The Role
· Operate forklift truck as per standard operating procedures and adhere to Health and safety requirements when driving. Adhere to speed limits throughout yard at all times.
· Loading products unto delivery lorries and customer vehicles using the trucks in line with business timeframes
· Liaise with the Trade Counter staff for customer collections so that customers are dealt with in a timely manner.
· Unloading products using the truck and stacking them in their designated places
· Carry out general yard housekeeping and complete daily yard management duties in your designated areas and as required.
· Accurately complete necessary paperwork and data input required information into NAV system using Tobermore Tablet.
· Identifying product damages and reporting discrepancies before loading the lorry or vehicle
· Daily truck inspections (oil, water, filters) and complete checklists to maintain your truck to reduce downtime and facilitate longevity. Make your manager aware of any unsafe hazards or anything requiring attention.
· Manoeuvring forklifts safely in busy yard environments
· Ensure all work is completed to specified quality and safety standards.
· Treat with care, attention and respect all items of Company property, e.g., protective clothing and equipment, machinery, tools and raw materials.
· Observe all Company regulations regarding Health and Safety at Work, sickness absence, time keeping etc.
· Adhere to specific yard rules and Company standards relevant to the department assigned to.
· Communicate any problems, uncertainties, or training issues to relevant supervisor / manager.
· Be fully aware of pedestrians and vehicles while operating forklift truck.
· Participate in drawing offline when required.
· Deal with all customers and lorry drivers in a courteous, professional, and efficient manner at all times.
· Actively participate in Continuous Improvement meetings.
· Any other duties as required and as deemed within your competence.

- • 5 GCSE including English & Maths A – C
- • Forklift certified (however accredited Training will be given in-house)
- • Working knowledge of loading computerised systems
- • Full and clean driving licence

- • Must have forklift driving experience of at least 1 year
