Grounds Maintenance Operative

Waterlooville, England, gb

The Grounds Maintenance team

We're responsible for the cyclical upkeep of the communal areas to our customers. This covers a large geographical area and our customers includes market rent, shared ownership and independent living communities on many estates or the whole estate. We also provide a reactionary service where we have to deal with hazards which can be anything from dumped items to clearing snow on our independent living blocks.

We're also responsible for the management of the trees and like to retain as many as possible or replant if any are removed. We believe that the trees play a big part in our communities by providing shade in the summer and promote a healthy wellbeing as well as offsetting our carbon footprint.

Your new role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team based in Horndean where you'll cover Horndean, Petersfield, Ham Barn, Liss and surrounding area - and we need you!

We're looking for a proactive, great team player and someone with a good eye for detail who's looking for a new challenge.

Working within a team, you'll be responsible for the upkeep of the external communal areas, grass, shrubs and hedges and have the flexibility to plan your workload within a fortnightly round. You may also be required to undertake soft landscaping/minor tree work.

We're looking for someone with a minimum one year experience. This is an excellent opportunity for an enthusiastic, self-motivated and well-driven individual looking to contribute to a dynamic and diverse team. We're always looking to improve ourselves and empower the lives of residents and communities they live in.
