We currently have permanent opportunities available for experienced Warehouse Administrators to join our team in our Welshpool facility. These roles require knowledge of all departments within the warehouse environment including dispatch, receivables, bill of material picks, cycle counting and the loading bay.
This role will be mainly administrative. You will be managing an inbox that is used for all communication regarding dispatch/outbound freight for our warehouse including internal and external customer queries. You will need to have an understanding of the transport industry and a very solid understanding of warehouse and inventory processes.
This role will be extremely fast paced and involves a lot of investigation and interrogation of our ERP, therefore the right candidate will be self-motivated, quick thinking, fast acting and be able to juggle multiple departments to ensure on time delivery.
The candidate will need to be able to type at a high rate, be able to use excel at an intermediate level (basic formulas) and be able to manage Outlook efficiently and effectively.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, this role will be responsible for:
Administrative tasks involving outbound freight, dispatch and customer queries
Accurate picking and packing of sales orders
Checking and putting away of incoming goods
Picking of job material where required
Promotion of safe working environment and practices including storage of hazardous goods and housekeeping
Report discrepant parts to the Inventory Controller
Report on a regular basis, information relevant to the operations of the store to the Warehouse Supervisor
Assisting with loading and unloading of goods
Partake in 5S practices and be instrumental in continuous improvement implementation
Make appropriate recommendations to increase efficiency of all departments
Effectively co-ordinate priorities with a high degree of autonomy, sound judgement and decision making skills
The successful candidate must possess:
Forklift ticket, high reach experience (desired)
Team player, able to work with multiple team members
Stock control exposure / knowledge
Warehouse, stock control skills
Intermediate knowledge of ERP systems, in this instance we refer to Epicor
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Quality Conscience, knowledge of ISO 9000 an advantage
Ability to handle competing priorities
Pro-active and takes initiative
