This role sits within this digital activation team, exclusively servicing retail clients within the Havas Market organisation. ABOUT HAVAS MARKET: Havas Market is our global e-commerce function within Havas Media Network, dedicated to helping clients navigate and capitalise upon the changing retail landscape. Our driving philosophy is to create meaningful retail experiences and in doing so, get clients to think about retail through the lens of shopper experience. Havas Market combines expert execution skills, powerful technology/data analytics and strategic consulting to deliver above market growth and help clients outmanoeuvre competitors. As such, engagements are multi-channel (D2C, marketplace, social commerce), multi-product (managed service, advisory and/or tech/tools) and multi-national. THE ROLE: This is a senior performance activation role working with commerce clients via the Havas Market team in HMN. This role will have significant responsibility, provide the opportunity to work closely with senior management across this part of our business, as well as offer an exciting path for growth. As such, we are looking for an experienced and unique talent, someone who can navigate the complex and multi-faceted landscape of e-commerce, and effectively manage channel activation across key channels, including D2C, Paid Search, Marketplaces, and Retail Media. You will be responsible for leading a scaled team of 15 people, ensuring best in class delivery across these channels, driving forward an innovation agenda to ensure Havas remains at the forefront of commerce activation, as well as leading on forward facing strategy for our clients. This role will very much be at a senior, strategic level and will be client facing. There will also be a significant focus on growth, so the role will see you working across a breadth of new business opportunities domestic and international as we seek to aggressively scale our e-commerce capability. The ability to take complex and fast-changing concepts and translate them into clear product solutions will therefore be essential. You will be supported by our Head of Paid Performance and will work closely with our strategy and planning team in Havas Market to ensure effective and efficient ways of working, but, more importantly, to ensure we deliver best in class service delivery for our clients. KEY RESPONSBILITIES: Lead on and develop future facing media strategy for e-commerce clients in Havas Market. Ensure best in class delivery across DTC, paid search, marketplaces (PPC and DSP) and retail media. Work closely with key media partners (Amazon, Google, Criteo, Tesco Media etc.) to identify and deliver against new commercial opportunities with clients. Develop and/or enhance ways of working in the team to ensure efficient delivery against client commercials, scopes of work, and ultimately to drive improved profitability. Support the HOD in the development of different delivery models ensuring we re able to effectively deliver profitably against clients of different sizes and maturity levels. Oversee and manage the development of future facing and innovative client roadmaps, and work with the planning team to ensure ambitious testing frameworks are in place for all clients. Create clear measurement frameworks and set out guidance for appropriate KPIs to assess the viability of plans and ensure our recommendations deliver against client s business challenges. Contribute to, and in some cases lead on, new business pitches including working on insights, channel recommendations, media strategy and media plans. Work effectively with senior stakeholders within Havas Market and in HMN more broadly to help drive awareness of, and scale, commerce solutions across our business. Oversee effective annual planning for the channels in your remit, ensuring sign off on recommendations and joining client meetings as relevant. Understand the needs of the client s business and ensure recommendations and ideas put forward align with their short, medium, and longer-term goals. Keep on top of the latest advancements in e-commerce, helping to ensure our delivery models, best practice and product solutions remain market leading for the agency. Proactively develop and mentor your direct reports, ensuring clear objectives are in place, and taking ownership of regular appraisals. Support, oversee and evaluate the output from your team, ensuring they re well supported, developed in their careers and able to produce the highest quality work. Contribute towards and lead on monthly team meetings for Havas Market. Help to create a culture of innovation and solutions driven thinking ultimately helping to shape a team geared towards growth and client success. ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE: Demonstrable experience managing activation teams within a commerce remit, i.e. across marketplaces (Amazon, eBay), search (Google, Microsoft), and retail media (Criteo, Tesco Media). Operational understanding of enterprise tech, such as PacVue, Skai, etc. Proven ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. Strong organisation and project management capabilities. Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task. Excellent communication, listening and presenting skills. Experience managing people in a scaled team. Confident in a client facing remit and able to build relationships with external stakeholders. Strong analytical capabilities, with the ability to translate these into commercial strategies. Someone with a positive attitude who will help build a passionate culture in our team.
