PERMANENT ROLE CLASS 1 DRIVER £40,703.52 per annum We have an exciting opportunity for Class 1 drivers to join our busy Howdens transport team from our Hemel Hempstead depot. £40,703.52 per annum - base salary Contracted to 44 hours per week Working days 4 form 7 Start times between 05:00 - 06:00 Overtime paid at a time and a half after contracted hours achieved Monthly paid Benefits include: Uniform Pension scheme Cycle to work scheme Free on-site parking Healthcare cash plan program Access to various high street and restaurant discounts Extensive well-being programs and initiatives accessible to all employees For every driver that you refer, you can earn an impressive £1,000 (subject to conditions) What we expect from our drivers: Responsible for the accurate, timely movement and delivery of our customers products Delivering caged or palletised goods to RDC s or stores Ensuring paperwork is signed, and any agreed waste or cages are collected to be returned Adhering to safe working practices to ensure the safety of yourself and others at all times Securing load of the trailer to ensure products are safely secured to minimise chances of damage Provide excellent customer service at all times and to take ownership of customer issues on delivery Carry out multi-drop deliveries within the delivery window in a safe manner Be aware of the vehicle defects and bring to the attention of Transport Office as necessary Attend essential training in order to carry out the Driver role To provide support in the Yard as required by the Transport Office Adhering to Driving legislation and professional competence standards.
