As an iOS Engineer within the Ventures pillar, your work will be the face of one of the world s leading food delivery companies. Your primary focus will be unlocking new opportunities for our partners and enhancing their product catalogues to drive an increase in the menu-to-basket conversion rate. This will turn into empowering the everyday moments of our customers.In this role, you will be tasked with developing and refining scalable, high-quality software solutions that serve a diverse global market. This will include building new components to be used by application teams, collaborating closely with designers to help improve our mobile strategy, and working alongside application teams to implement new components or design tokens into their systems. These are some of the key ingredients to the role: Master the craft of writing high-quality, thoroughly tested code within a large team. Understand the finer points of maintaining an excellent codebase. Lead projects, mentor peers, and collaborate effectively. Introduce innovative ideas and develop robust, well-considered code. Adhere to and help refine the team's standards and processes. Contribute to setting these standards to ensure continuous improvement. Pursue ongoing personal development by learning from teammates and applying this knowledge to benefit the team and enhance the apps. Clearly communicate the technical efforts of your team to other engineering groups. Own the responsibility for your updates from development through to their successful performance in production. Regularly release updates to the app store (approximately every two weeks) and oversee these changes to ensure they perform well for users. Play a role in reviewing and approving your team s code changes once automated tests are passed. Generate and implement creative ideas to improve the apps. What will you bring to the table? Proficiency in Swift and SwiftUI for iOS development. Experience with integration, unit, and UI tests to ensure application robustness. Demonstrable deep knowledge of the iOS ecosystem. Familiarity with architectural patterns such as MVP, MVVM, and MVC. Strong capability in continuous integration practices and tools. Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, especially Git. Skills in writing clean, isolated, and reusable components for software development. Proficient in using RESTful APIs to connect iOS applications to back-end services. Experience in enterprise tools and CI systems tailored to iOS development.
