Logistics People are looking for HGV Class 1 Drivers/HGV Drivers/LGV Class 1 Drivers/LGV Drivers/Class 1 Drivers working on an Ad Hoc Temporary basis at our Eddie Stobart Leicester depot. Our customer is one of the biggest names within the HGV industry, with the latest vehicles on the market, which means you get the best HGV experience and a top range vehicle to work with. 6 Months Of HGV Class 1 Driving Experience Required Location: Leicester LE4 1BS Working Hours: Ad Hoc Temporary Shifts Available Pay Rate: Monday Friday Days: £16.26 P/hr Including Holiday Pay Monday Friday Nights: £17.38 P/hr Including Holiday Pay Saturday Sunday Days: £20.18 P/hr Including Holiday Pay Saturday Sunday Nights: £20.74 P/hr Including Holiday Pay About this role: Ambient work You will be driving ambient products that do not require temperate checks. Trunking You will be driving on a regular route, including long haul transportation of goods between distribution hubs. Store Delivery Transporting various type of goods from location to stores. General haulage Transporting various types of goods from location to location . Manual handling This involves physically lifting, carrying, and moving goods as needed during loading and unloading operations. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations. About You: You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and have a minimum of 6 months HGV Class 1 driving experience. No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards Understand and able to comply with Driver s hours and WTD legislation Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements Excellent communication skills About Logistics People The Logistics People are the inhouse recruiter for the Culina Group LTD recruiting for both FTE and Ad Hoc driving roles.
