Job Description We areseeking a strategic leader to develop and oversee the risk financing operationfor marine liability and all-risk worldwide commercial risk exposure emanatingfrom the trading activities of DHL Group's worldwide businesses. As the Head ofMarine Risk Management, you will be responsible for identifying and assessingmarine risks, developing business opportunities, and implementing financing solutions.You will also lead a team responsible for executing marine risk activities andplay a key role in advising senior management on transport andlogistics-related risk exposures. Location: London If this issomething that interests you, then read on: Moreover, yourmain tasks will be: Developand maintain a deep understanding of the Group's service portfolio, divisionalstrategies, and organizational structures Executemarine all-risk and marine liability risk financing strategies across alldivisions worldwide Establishand implement strategies that have mainly a medium-term (5-10 years) impact onbusiness results Overseethe delivery of risk financing strategies, optimizing the use of balance sheet,captive, fronting insurance, and risk transfer mechanisms Accountablefor the underwriting result, including management reporting of loss ratios,claim trends, and market share/development Developthe marine book and drive internal market share while maintaining 'break-even'underwriting targets and maximizing DHL Group's balance sheet protection andoperating divisions' EBIT targets Overseethe pricing of marine risks ensuring a consistent, compliant and timelystructure for referrals from junior programme managers, ad-hoc quotations,mid-term adjustments and annual renewals; Pricing of risk includes contractrisk referrals, cargo all risk rating, transport and logistics marine risks( warehouse liability, cargo liability, customs liability, errors &omissions etc) Leadand manage a team of subject matter experts Contributeto the non-life insurance risk strategy and collaborate with other stakeholdersto ensure the seamless delivery of risk management services Stakeholdermanagement: Divisionalboards at global and regional levels, with a strong focus on commercialbusiness development Globaland regional IRM stakeholders, country and regional senior management, andother relevant functions including finance, legal, security, operations, tradecompliance, and business development leadership Externalservice providers, including fronting insurers, claims handlers, insurancebrokers, and advisors ManagementResponsibility: Manageand lead the marine risk function, consisting of 3 full-time employees. Your profile should look like: Universitydegree and/or holding a professional qualification in insurance (, ACII,FCII, CPCU, CEBS, IEBA) or other business management qualification15+years of experience in marine underwriting within a global multinationalinsurance company, broker, or in-house risk functionExperiencein transport and logistics risk management and strategy within a globalmultinational insurance company, broker, or in-house risk functionExtensivebackground in account management, servicing, placement, and negotiation ofmarine transport and logistics insurance coverages, as well as marine insuranceand international trade lawExtensiveknowledge of or experience in the logistics and/or supply chain business.Proventrack record in developing, coaching, and leading teams in a multinationalenvironmentExceptionaldata analytics, project management, time management, and workload managementskillsExcellentwritten and oral communication skills, with the ability to articulate technicalcontent to a non-technical audience Weoffer: Workingwith diverse and complex stakeholders from different business units Interested to join us?
