Owen Payne Recruitment are recruiting for an Area Sales Manager based in the Gloucester or Newport area for a leading distributor of high-quality plumbing products, dedicated to serving the needs of plumber s merchants across the UK. Our client is seeking a motivated Area Sales Manager to join the team and cover the SA, CF, LD, NP, HR, BS, and GL postcodes. This is a fully field-based role, requiring a proactive individual who thrives on building strong relationships and driving sales growth within their designated territory. Achieve sales targets and KPIs set by the company Develop and maintain strong relationships with plumbers merchants, ensuring excellent customer service and support. Regularly visit existing and potential clients to understand their needs and provide tailored solutions. Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities, market trends, and competitor activities (Use this information to inform sales strategies and identify potential growth areas) Actively promote the company s range of products, providing detailed product knowledge and technical support to customers Organize and conduct product demonstrations and training sessions as needed Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market intelligence Prepare regular sales reports and forecasts for management review Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, customer service, and logistics, to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction
