JOB DESCRIPTION BE AN ESSENTIAL PART OF EVERYDAY LIFE HGV Driver (C+E) Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time) Pay Rate: £ per hour + overtime Shift patterns: Any 5 days from 7, start time 5am Location: McKinney Road, Newtownabbey - BT36 4PE Closing date: Monday 22nd July DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business is seeking a HGV Driver to play a vital role in our distribution service. WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL? As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will: Drive safely and compliantly at all times; Be legally compliant with working time directive and EU Driving hours legislation; Maintain regular contact with the transport team; Comply with local legislation requirements and company policies and procedures at all times; To represent DHL in a professional manner to customers and provide excellent customer service at all times; Regular completion of vehicle checks; Manual Handling of Customer Products; Timely and efficient completion of deliveries and transportation; To undergo regular training and driving assessments. WHAT DO WE NEED FROM YOU? Valid Driving License C+E (Class 1); Driver CPC certification; Ability to move product in line with H&S regulation; Previous experience of delivery driving; Ability to follow work procedures and safety rules; Ability to read, understand and follow directions / instructions; Knowledge of EU driving regulations and geographical area.
