Pay: Monday to Friday days: £14.50 per hour Weekend days: £16.00 per hour Monday to Friday sleeping nights: National Living wage (currently £11.44 for workers aged 21 or over) Weekend Sleeping nights: National Living wage + £1 Driver required? Start Date: ASAP (subject to satisfactory employment checks) Introducing James We are seeking a patient, caring and alert Support Worker to support James, who is 10 years old. He lives at home with his family who are very close and love to spend time together. James attends the siblings football matches, enjoys hydrotherapy and rebound therapy (trampolining) along with sensory activities, and he loves his 60's music and going to school where he receives 1:1 support. James has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, epilepsy and is visually impaired, he requires all his care needs met and uses a PEG for his fluids, and a wheelchair for mobility. He is unable to regulate his temperature which can cause him to have seizures. Your role as his Support Worker will be to support with getting up and dressed in the mornings, ready for school, after school to support changing and eating his dinner, bathing or showering and taking his medication. On the weekends, you will support him during his hydrotherapy on a 2:1 care basis and during any other activities, either with or without his family members. You will also assist with chores around the family home. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated person to join a dedicated home care team and develop existing skills and support James and the family. A truly rewarding role for someone who is able to communicate effectively and an ability to work with patience, tact, understanding, warmth and compassion. Pay and Benefits: Monday to Friday days: £14.50 per hour, Weekend days: £16.00 per hour, Monday to Friday sleeping nights: National Living wage (currently £11.44 for workers aged 21 or over), Weekend Sleeping nights: National Living wage + £1 5.6 weeks annual leave pro rata Pension (subject to qualifying status) Free DBS check.
