This is a brilliant opportunity for an established Yard / Warehouse Manager to join an established independent business that is rapidly growing! The Working Hours: Monday to Friday 07:00 to 16:30 & 1 Saturday on 1 off 07:00 to 11:30 Salary: £32k to £35k per annum (DOE) Key Responsibilities: Report and correct any breaches of Health & Safety Supervise day-to-day operations and maintain department procedures Manage warehouse, staff, and drivers, ensuring high standards of Health & Safety Oversee Goods-In/Out, ensuring orders are correct and on time Act as a key holder and ensure the security of the Branch Ensure yard and warehouse open on time for trading This role involves: Goods in & out Prioritize order picking, ensure on-time and complete orders, and manage errors log Serve and load customers correctly, report any shortfalls on customer collections Conduct regular stock takes, monitor levels, report shortages, and maintain proper storage Manage day-to-day operations, enforce policies and procedures, conduct training and development Ensure daily checks, report issues promptly Maintain a safe environment, oversee staff training, report incidents and breaches Securely lock warehouse and yard, enforce customer service procedures Identify areas for improvement, propose innovative working procedures, report to Branch Manager for authorization Supporting the Branch Manager with all transport operations To be considered for this role you must have / be: worked as either an Yard / Warehouse Manager in the building supplies sector ambitious and driven to support and grow the branch a positive outlook fluent English speaking, reading and writing willing to learn new skills able to commute to Brockley innovative and an fresh open mind counterbalance forklift experience
