Are you an experienced Foreperson, Workshop Manager or Supervisor who is looking for your next career move? Driver Hire Edinburgh West are currently recruiting a Foreperson for our client based in Bathgate. Based in a local service centre, you will be required to manage the busy yard and team of yard operatives to ensure all targets are achieved and customers are satisfied with the service. This is a full-time position. Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm. This is a permanent placement. Full training will be provided to ensure you are fully equipped for success within this role. Immediate start available following registration and relevant checks. Duties will include: Daily management of workshop and yard staff. Organise returns, repairs, and management of stock in yard. Monitoring all off hired equipment ensuring all repairs and damages are recorded accordingly. Co-ordinating vehicles movements. Ensuring that the yard and any covered space is kept tidy and organised. Ensuring that all equipment is placed in its designated area. Ensure that the yard and the team comply with all Health and Safety procedures. Ensure that all equipment is repaired and maintained in line with the manufacturer s guidelines. Carry our regular stock checks. Ensure accuracy of counts of equipment. Co-ordinate and manage the yard during regular stock takes. Communicating effectively to ensure your Line Manager and Customers are kept informed as required. To be successful in this role, we ask that applicants : Have demonstrable experience of working in a yard environment. Have a forklift licence. Have industry experience desirable. Have experience in managing a team of people. Have awareness of health and safety requirements.
