Nights Transport Team Leader Full-time Depot: Dagenham - Fresh Direct Vacancy Type: Permanent Department: Supply Chain and Operations (Non Driver or Operative Roles) Travel: Daily commute only Job Description Transport Team Leader Nights Shifts 5 out 7 days 19:30 - 04:30 £35,175 plus great benefits Shifts Fresh Direct in Dagenham is looking for a Transport Team Leader with experience from within a busy operational transport environment. You will oversee and support the Distribution Manager in the day to day running of our Transport Department. As Transport Team Leader you will provide an effective and efficient daily admin support to the drivers and Transport Management team to deliver into our customers across London. The main role would be reporting to the Distribution Manager, you'll be managing drivers rota in terms of route planning and covering drivers holiday keeping accurate agency control and legal/process checks to ensure legality. We will look for you to deploy vehicles and drivers in order to best meet the needs of the business and its customers. Its vital that daily transport paperwork is completed in-line with company policy and procedures correctly and error free. As Transport Team Leader you will be confident in completing general administration duties in a fast paced, time pressured environment. You will have have strong attention to detail for control of Tachographs and systems and accurate maintenance of Titan and Prophet systems. As Team Leader for our Transport Department you will be required to work both on the computer, in person and over the telephone all in-line with Transport legislation, company policy and procedures. You'll have a trustworthy nature and affinity to build a close relations with other departments within the site and customers - working with Customer Services team to manage and resolve shortage recoveries as required and to advise any issues arising from deliveries as reported by drivers. Having previous leadership experience and knowledge of the working time directive is essential to confidently manage a team of drivers & drivers mates.
