Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are now offering exciting and flexible temporary opportunities for experienced HGV Class 1 and HGV Class 2 drivers with our client in Bournemouth. As part of this role you will be required to complete deliveries in an HGV curtain-sider. Unloading will be completed with a pallet truck or by the customer at the delivery site. 6-7 drops is the typical amount of drops per round for day shifts and night shifts are usually a single drop at a pallet hub in the midlands. Position: HGV Class 1 and HGV Class 2 Driver Days: Monday-Friday (flexible) Start time: 07:00 AM (night trunk shifts are also available, 18:00 start) Start date: ASAP Location: Bournemouth Pay Rate: £15.97-17.09 (basic) £18.21-19.61 (nights) £20.17-20.73(weekends) £25 night-out allowance (for tramping work). Quoted rate is for PAYE advanced holiday pay. As a HGV Driver you MUST have: a valid UK Class 1 or Class 2 HGV driving licence a valid CPC and digital tachograph card a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial experience your own transport to get to and from work no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes) As a HGV Driver you will be responsible for: Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers Benefits: minimum of 8 hours daily pay PAYE (weekly) generous referral scheme overtime available workplace pension 24/7 assistance temp-perm opportunities free CPC training This position is commutable from Christchurch, Poole, Salisbury and other areas near to Bournemouth.
