LGV Cat C (Class 2) Driver, Sidcup

The Best Connection are currently recruiting for a Class 2 driver for their client based in Sidcup .

You will be tasked with the delivery of goods to other companies and customers of the client, all based around the South East corner and some London . Deliveries will take place from a curtain-side Class 2 truck, so some experience with curtains would be essential. As you will also be delivering to other companies and customers, customer facing skills would be preferred, you would be representing the client as the face of the company. There will be some handball and lifting involved with the deliveries of the goods.

Between deliveries and in slower times, you will be required to help out with some light warehouse duties. This will mostly be loading of vehicles and some stock control work. The mass majority of the work will be out on the road, though.

Starting time for the role may be varied due to time restraint deliveries, but you can expect to start between 08:00 and 10:00 , but it will always be a minimum charge of 8 hours a day regardless.

Pay rate for this role is £16 per hour, paid weekly PAYE and there is a possibility of a permanent job following a successful trial period.

To be considered for the role:

  • Previous Class 2 commercial driving, min 1 year
  • Knowledge of tacho and driving hours
  • Warehouse experience
  • No more that 3 points on licence, preferably clean
  • Customer facing skills
