Tacho technician with HGV Class 2 licence. Farnborough.

Driver Hire has a fantastic opportunity for an HGV driver to join a very well established, privately owned and run, local business.

The successful candidate will be required to calibrate, install and repair Tachograph units. You will also be required to drive large vehicles for testing purposes, and to collect and deliver lorries to and from customer’s premises.

You will be fully trained and certified to carry out the job.

Newly qualified drivers will even be considered. Evidence of a suitable background that lends itself to this type of work is more important than pure driving experience.

**** Benefits, Hours and Pay of the Cat C, HGV Class 2 Driver ****

  • Salary between £30,000 and £32,000 depending on experience
  • 28 days paid holiday
  • Typically 7.30am to 4.30pm
  • Monday to Friday

  • Install, calibrate and repair in-cab tacho units
  • Collect and deliver Cat C HGVs
  • Daily walk round vehicle checks
  • Follow all H&S regulations
  • Adhere to government guidelines and follow set procedures
  • Be happy working as part of a small team

  • Fitting, mechanical or technical experience
  • Verifiable references
  • Max 6 minor penalty points
