Job Description:

As a PV Installer, you will play a crucial role in the installation and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Installation Expertise: Execute the efficient installation of solar panels, inverters, mounting systems, and associated components, ensuring adherence to industry best practices, safety standards, and project specifications.

  • Site Assessment: Conduct thorough site assessments to evaluate the feasibility and suitability of solar installations, taking into account structural considerations, electrical requirements, and site-specific conditions.

  • System Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues that may arise during installation or maintenance, demonstrating strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail.

  • Collaborative Teamwork: Work closely with fellow PV installers, project managers, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution, timely completion, and exceptional quality of work.

  • Quality Assurance: Conduct thorough quality checks and inspections to ensure that all installations meet or exceed industry standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements.

    • Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a PV Installer or in a similar role, demonstrating proficiency in solar panel installation and system wiring.
  • Sound knowledge of electrical systems, including AC and DC wiring, inverters, and balance-of-system components.
  • Familiarity with relevant codes, regulations, and safety practices in the solar industry.
  • Strong technical aptitude, with the ability to read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a meticulous approach to work.
  • Comfortable working at heights and in various outdoor conditions.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to different project sites across the UK.
  • Relevant industry certifications (e.g., NABCEP, MCS) will be highly regarded.
