HGV Class 1 Shunter – night

Our client in Bicester is looking for a HGV1 driver to support their operation as a shunter. This role will be shunting trailers and units around the yard on a night shift. This will be 5 x shifts per week.

The role will be starting immediately.

Duties:

  • Driving HGV1 vehicles to move trailers and units around the yard
  • Taking out a load if required!
  • All vehicle checks completed to ensure the vehicle is safe to use
  • Driving in a safe and responsible manner at all times, adapting to the unit you are moving.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors to coordinate vehicle movements

    • Requirements:

  • Hold HGV1 driving licence
  • Be experienced and confident in driving units and trailers, and putting on doors
  • Be open and flexible to driving different classes of vehicles.
  • Hold CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  • Good Knowledge of working time directive
  • Maximum of 6 points on your licence
  • Good communication per weekly

    • Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 02:00am to 10:30am shifts
