The position of Class 1 Night Trunk Driver involves:

  • This will involve trunking from Highbridge to Birmingham and reload back to Highbridge.
  • You may also be required to cover internal trunking.
  • Loading/unloading of vehicle, ensuring load security.
  • Completing daily vehicle checks on your company phone.
  • Working closely with the network hubs.
  • Keeping in regular contact with the transport team for updates on progress and managing our customer’s expectations.
  • Attending regular training sessions.

    • Essential skills required for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver:

  • Must have a UK Class 1 (CE) Driving Licence.
  • Hold a current DCPC Card and Digital Tachograph Driver Card.
  • Experience of curtain-side trailers is preferred but not essential as full training will be given.
  • Be passionate about providing excellent customer service.
  • Working to deadlines.
  • Confident, polite and a team player.
  • Good geographical knowledge.
  • Due to the nature of the role applicants must be fit, flexible, hardworking and self-motivated.

  • Salary for Class 1 Night Trunk Driver is between £41,pa to £pa, (including night shift allowance) and MORE! depending on hours worked.
  • Hours of work are Monday – Friday, 48 hours per week, shifts starting between 18:00hrs – 21:00hrs.
