Pertemps are currently recruiting for a Laser Operator on behalf of our client based in Telford, Shropshire.

Hours: 40 hours/week: 07:00 – 16:00 Monday – Thursday and 07:00 - 13:00 Friday. Evening and Weekend Overtime available at premium rates.

Salary: £25,542.40 - £29,203.20 per annum DOE.

Responsibilities include but not limited to:
• Operate laser cutting machine to cut sheet metal according to specifications.
• Set up and adjust laser cutting parameters for different materials and thicknesses.
• Inspect finished products for quality and accuracy.
• Perform routine maintenance on laser cutting machines.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient production flow.
• Loading and unloading the machine.
• Assisting in other areas where required.

Ideal Candidate:
• Previous experience as a Laser Operator ( 2/3 Years and preferably Amada CO2)
• Mechanical knowledge and understanding of laser cutting principles.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
• Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication processes.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and measuring instruments.
• Valid Forklift Licence.
