Position Summary
To join our Global Facilities & Real Estate department we are recruiting for a senior manager to support the Director of International Facilities and Real Estate in overseeing all aspects of facility operations and management in compliance with the objectives and directives of Global Facilities and Real Estate. The Senior Manager will have a strong background in facilities management, planning, project management, along with exceptional leadership skills, and a proven ability to ensure the efficient and effective functioning of STERIS facilities.
This role will be responsible for providing support to all sites as directed to ensure facilities are properly managed or maintained, in compliance with STERIS standards, and in accordance with all governing regulations and Global Facilities and Real Estate objectives and directives to ensure legal compliance, contractual compliance, and other requirements as may be required under the terms of a lease, license, or similar. The Senior Manager will provide project management support to all sites as directed by the Director, International Facilities and Real Estate in compliance with objectives and directives of Global Facilities and Real Estate.
The role will provide guidance, enforce compliance to corporate policies for facilities-based projects and operations while monitoring and reporting on facilities matters including, vendor and contractor management.
The role will cover EMEA sites as directed in compliance with Global Facilities and Real Estate objectives and directives. The position will require regional travel.
Duties
Assist the Director of International Facilities, otherwise known as manager, in developing and implementing strategic plans in line with the objectives of Global Facilities and Real Estate for EMEA facilities.
Advises on operations of the EMEA facilities to align with objectives of the organization and Global Facilities and Real Estate, including maintenance, repairs, security, and janitorial services and other similar facilities functions.
Manage a team of EMEA facilities staff members, including hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations, in alignment with the objectives of the manager and Global Facilities and Real Estate.
Assist manager with project management to include collaboration with external project management vendors in alignment with objectives of Global Facilities and Real Estate.
Effective use and utilize the tools provided with digital drawing systems, such as CAD, AutoCAD, Revit, and other similar.
Effective use and utilize the tools or information provided by digital computer aided facilities management software, CAFM, systems.
Assist with data collection and management of facilities assets for use in preventative maintenance and capital planning.
Assist with implementation of STERIS and Global Facilities and Real Estate sustainability initiatives and projects.
Assist manager with management of various STERIS facilities to include management of contracted facilities management partners or vendors in alignment with objectives of Global Facilities and Real Estate.
Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of services in alignment with manager and the organizations objectives.
Act as a liaison between facility director, or manager and the facility staff, providing regular updates on facility operations and performance and initiatives under the direction of manager.
Assist with development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards and the objectives of Global Facilities and Real Estate.
Monitor facility and project-based budgets and expenses and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
Collaborate and liaise with internal partners and departments to support their facility-related projects, needs and initiatives as directed by manager and in alignment with objectives of Global Facilities and Real Estate.
Stay informed about industry trends and best practices in facilities management and incorporate them into our operations as appropriate.
Respond promptly to emergencies or urgent issues affecting EMEA facilities, or others outside of the EMEA, that may be assigned, and take appropriate action to resolve them.
Assist with management and review of professional appointments and contracts in line with STERIS and Global Facilities and Real Estate policies and procedures as directed by the Director, International Facilities and Real Estate.
Assist manager with management of EMEA security systems and the security system infrastructure. Ensure that security is in compliance with the STERIS security policies and objectives of Global Facilities and Real Estate.
Support records retention for governance across all STERIS EMEA sites and others outside of EMEA as may be directed by manager.
Attended global functions as may be organized or offered by Global Facilities and Real Estate.
Support manager and all assignments as directed by manager in accordance with the leadership and objectives of Global Facilities and Real Estate.
