Service Technician - Diesel Fitter

We’re looking for a Mechanical Technician/Diesel Fitter based in Rutherford, servicing the NSW Newcastle/Hunter region.

    • What you’ll do:

  • Respond to major mechanical component failure escalations.
  • Carry out regular servicing, major component changes and repairs in the depot and field.
  • Carry out advanced troubleshooting of diesel engines.
  • Implementation of field campaigns as required.
  • Ensure the completion of major repairs are on time, to standard and within agreed budgets for both specific repairs and overall department budgets.
  • Occasional overnight service runs.

    • You’ll have the following skills and experience:

  • Proven experience as Diesel Fitter.
  • Qualified Mechanic with Australian mechanic’s license.
  • Australian Driver’s License.
  • Forklift License an Advantage.
  • MR Truck License Advantage.
  • Computer literate.
