Plant Supervisor

Newbury, England, gb

We are looking for a Plant Supervisor to work for our client based in the centre of Newbury. The role is a full-time, permanent position for the right candidate.

You will be responsible for managing the staff under your supervision, seeing to it that all work is carried out to high hours per week
Monday to Friday
Flexibility required

Pay:

£30,000 per annum

Duties Include:

  • Ensure that the lines run in a manner that is both safe and efficient.
  • To monitor staffing levels and inform the Yard Manager should you have any issues.
  • Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance checks.
  • To report any breakdowns or issues with the plant to the Maintenance Engineer & Yard Manager.
  • To complete all paperwork in a timely manner, including updating the records of inventory and activity logs .
  • Unload/load materials from incoming/outgoing vehicles.
  • To ensure the absolute safety of yourself and all other members of staff during all aspects of your work.

    • Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a similar role
  • A good standard of English, both orally and written, is required.
  • You must have high level organisational skills.
  • Effective communication is essential.
  • Forklift licence required.
  • You must be a physically fit.
