HGV Class 1 Drivers Wanted In STAFFORD!

Logistics People are looking for  HGV Class 1 Drivers/HGV Drivers/LGV Class 1 Drivers/LGV Drivers/Class 1 Drivers working on an Full-Time (FTE) basis at our  Culina Stafford  depot.

Our customer is one of the biggest names within the HGV industry, with the latest vehicles on the market, which means you get the best HGV experience and a top range vehicle to work with.

***12 Months Of HGV Class 1 Driving Experience Required***

***Must be able to do occasional night outs***

Location: Stafford, ST16 1GW

Shift Details:

  • 5 on 3 off days or nights – £177.92 per shift equivalent to £40,566 per annum
  • 4 on 4 off days or nights – £178.31 per shift equivalent to £32,542 per annum 
  • Start times available between 12:00 – 19:59 – Shift premium of £10 per shift
  • Start times available between 20:00 – 03:59 – Shift premium of £15 per shift

    • Overtime:

  • Monday – Friday: £16.90 Per Hour
  • Saturday: £20.09 Per Hour
  • Sunday: £22.84 Per Hour

    • About this role:

  • Refrigerated work – You will be transporting goods that need to be kept in a chilled trailer, at a specific temperature. Full training will be provided when operating a chilled vehicle.
  • Trunking – You will be driving on a regular route, including long haul transportation of goods between distribution hubs.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any defects or maintenance needs to ensure roadworthiness
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, logbooks, and other necessary paperwork in compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Follow all safety protocols and procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and adherence to health and safety regulations.

    • About You:

  • You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence and have a minimum of 12 months HGV Class 1 driving experience. 
  • No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
  • Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
  • Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
  • Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
  • Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
