We are currently recruiting a HGV1 Driver for a leading logistics and transportation company, specialising in the delivery of cold and ambient goods to Regional Distribution Centres (RDCs) across Kent, Sussex, and London.

Job Description:
As an HGV1 Driver, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient transportation of cold and ambient goods to various RDCs. This role requires excellent driving skills, adherence to safety regulations, and a commitment to providing top-notch customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely load, transport, and deliver cold and ambient goods to RDCs across Kent, Sussex, and London.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made on time and in excellent condition.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and collections using the company’s system.
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and company safety policies.
  • Communicate effectively with the logistics team and customers to provide excellent service.
  • Ensure the refrigeration units are operating correctly and maintain the temperature of the goods as required.

    • Requirements:

  • Valid HGV1 (Class 1) driving license.
  • Valid Driver Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC).
  • Digital Tachograph Card.
  • Previous experience in driving HGV1 vehicles, preferably with experience in delivering cold and ambient goods.
  • Strong understanding of road safety regulations and defensive driving techniques.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a customer-focused attitude.
  • Ability to handle physical work, including loading and unloading goods when necessary.
