Drivers Mate

Driver Hire Stockport are looking to recruit a flexible drivers mates/porter to work for our well respected client based in the Wilmslow area. The right candidate will be working as part of a team delivering white goods and household items around the North. This is an ongoing temporary contract for the right person and the shifts will vary to 2 to 4 shifts a week depending on our clients requirements (we may be able to offer more shifts during peak periods)

We have work available Monday through to Saturday and we ask that you are available at least 2 Saturdays per month.

The candidate must have access to their own vehicle and have a valid driving licence as more positions may open up within the company.

Two shifts patterns:

6am till 17:00
10:30am till 21:30
Sat 6/7am till 17:00/18:00

Main Duties Include:
  • Assisting the driver with loading and unloading the Van/HGV
  • Assisting the driver with wet connections, bed assembly etc
  • Calling/speaking with customers when on route/directions for drivers
  • Heavy lifting is involved so you need to be able to manoeuvre heavy items

    • Personal requirements:

  • A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate is a must
  • Manual Handling experience
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Good Team Player
  • Safety boots required

    • Pay Rates:

    AM – 11.75phPM – 12.10ph paid PAYE weekly, pension contributions paid when eligible.
