Are you a dedicated Occupational Therapist seeking a rewarding opportunity to enhance your skills? Pulse is currently recruiting for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join a reputable NHS trust in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. This role is available for an immediate start with an initial contract duration of 3 months.
Key Responsibilities:
Enable individuals with physical disabilities to achieve maximum independence and safety. Provide expert advice, arrange equipment, and recommend home alterations to facilitate safe and effective use. Empower clients to optimize their abilities and collaborate on solutions to overcome barriers to independence. Collaborate within an early intervention team to prevent unnecessary hospital referrals. Educate on easier and safer ways to manage daily activities such as personal care and household tasks. Conduct assessments of carers or parents and offer tailored advice as necessary. Maintain professional and legal responsibility for all aspects of clinical practice and patient management.
Additional Information:
This role is based in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. Initial contract duration is 3 months with potential for extension. Competitive pay rates and various payment methods available (PAYE, Umbrella, PSC, LTD). Experience of working independently and at pace is essential to ensure proactive discharge planning and robust treatment plans. Collaborate with a therapy team including a rehab technician and a physiotherapist. Experience with community-based pathways desirable to ensure optimal length of stay for patients.
