Pertemps Milton Keynes branch are currently recruiting experienced Drivers Mates who are looking to move into the world of HGV Driving.
 
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company who strongly believe in training and developing its internal work force alongside internal promotion.
 
The Role
As a Driver's Mate, you will play a crucial role in supporting drivers to ensure timely and safe delivery of goods. This position is ideal for individuals looking to start a career in logistics, with the potential to progress to a HGV Driver through our comprehensive training program.
 
You will be working Monday to Friday, with starts times ranging between 0300 – 0600, working a typical 10-12 hour shift.
 

  • Assist drivers with loading and unloading of goods.
  • Ensure all deliveries are made efficiently and safely.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, providing excellent service.
  • Navigate delivery routes and help with directions.
  • Perform pre-delivery and post-delivery vehicle checks.
  • Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation.

    Our client is looking for experienced Drivers Mates who would like to undergo training and development and move upwards within the logistics industry working as a van driver, HGV2 Driver and then a HGV1 Driver.
     
  • Requirements
    Previous drivers mate experience essential.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • A valid UK Driving license
  • Willingness to learn, grow and develop,
  • Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
  • Good spoken and written English skills.
  • Ability to cope with heavy lifting.
