Job Description

A Marquee Company looking for a 7.5 Tonne Driver including labouring to help provide marquee hire for events including weddings, parties, corporate days, festivals and charity fundraisers.

The work involves installing marquee structures including interior finishes, flooring, lighting and heating, with opportunities for workers to become proficient in all areas.

The focus is on high quality products, thorough workmanship, customer satisfaction and having a good-humoured team.

The Company operates from two locations, Romford and Kingston upon Thames. They are looking for a recruit who lives close to either location and has access to their own vehicle, so he/she is able to start and finish at unsociable hours without relying on public transport. The work is primarily within the M25.

The position involves on-the-job training to enable you to become an experienced marquee rigger. Good teamwork is essential.

You need to have:

  • a good attitude to your work, colleagues and clients,
  • be physically fit,
  • be able to work long days including weekend work (primarily in the summer months) in heat, rain and cold.
  • reasonable English

    • A 7.5T driver's licence is required – would be prepared to support training if experience van driver (for right candidate).

    Other useful skills are basic carpentry and an understanding of electrics, but these are not essential.
