Assembly/Mechanical Fitter
Location Position typeFull-time, permanent Hours of workMonday to Thursday - Friday - class="paragraph">Oil and Gas Systems Ltd is seeking to employ a full-time Assembly/Mechanical Fitter to work within our manufacturing facility. The role will involve assembly and testing of skid packages manufactured for the Oil & Gas industry.
Minimum Candidate Requirements:
· Served a recognized apprenticeship within mechanical fitting/assembly
· Should be able to demonstrate a proven track record in regard assembling and fitting a wide variety of items
Preferred Candidate Requirements:
Preference will be given to candidates that can show a track record in dealing with the following:
. Handling pipe work of various sizes and schedules
. Fitting valves into pipe work etc
. Competent in carrying out hydro tests
. Fork lift truck operation
. Basic crane operation
. Handling structural steel components
. Experience in rigging & slinging his/her own equipment safely
. Reading isometric drawings
. Demonstrate they have an understanding of HSE guidelines with regard to the position
. Is able to work using initiative
. Can take the lead on jobs where necessary
. Can complete tasks with confidence and minimal supervision
. Work to high quality standards
. A flexible approach to all duties and working hours to achieve completion of contracts outside of normal scope of work
Candidates will have a driving license and be prepared to operate a fork lift truck if licensed. Fork lift truck training maybe provided to the right candidate.
Standard week is hrs, but overtime may be required and applicants should be willing to be flexible in their approach to the position.
