HGV Class 1 Shunters Wanted In BURTON LATIMER! 

Logistics People are looking for  HGV Shunters/HGV Class 1 Shunters/LGV Shunters/LGV Class 1 Shunters  working on a Full time Equivalent (FTE) basis at our  Stobarts Northampton  depot.

Location : Northampton NN4 9EX

Working Hours : 

  • 4 On 4 Off AM Shunting Shifts Available 

    • Pay rates:

  • £17.24 P/hr 

    • About this role:

  • Operate Class 1 vehicles in a safe and efficient manner within the premises
  • Manoeuvre vehicles into loading and unloading bays according to schedules
  • Perform pre-operational checks on vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition
  • Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and drivers to coordinate movement of goods
  • Adhere to all relevant health and safety regulations and company policies
  • Complete necessary paperwork accurately and promptly
  • Assist with general yard duties and maintenance tasks as required

    • About You

  • You should hold a valid HGV 1/C+E Licence
  • No more than 6 points no DD/ DR Code convictions
  • Hold a current valid DCPC & Tacho cards
  • Previous experience as a shunter or in a similar role is preferred
  • Understand and able to comply with Driver’s hours and WTD legislation
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings and weekends
  • Able to understand and carry out necessary vehicle checks to ensure vehicle safety and able to report defects correctly
  • Should comply with on-site health and safety requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
