Job Title: Class 1 / LGV 1 / HGV 1

DAYS: Monday – Friday / Tramping

Driver Hire Norwich are currently recruiting experienced Class 1 / LGV 1 / HGV 1 / Tramper drivers to work with a client of ours located in Norwich , Beccles & Great Yarmouth . The work is ongoing. There is an immediate start for this work. Induction before start. Experience in this role is preferred however, newer drivers with a good work ethic maybe considered . A driving assessment is required for all candidates with opportunities based on a successful pass.

The Role:

Driving a Class 1 vehicle on general haulage. You will be dropping and swapping trailers, operating curtain sided trailers and securing loads using ratchet straps. Ensuring deliveries are completed in a safe and controlled manner. Completing paperwork as required and adhering to all on site health and safety rules. Keeping an accurate record of driving hours and working hours.

Day shifts – Mon to Fri / Tramping

The Requirements:

  • Full UK HGV 1 Driving Licence.
  • Current CPC and Digital Tacho card
  • Previous 1 year HGV driving
  • Held HGV 1 licence for 1 year minimum
  • No more than 6 points on licence, and no CD, IN, DD or DR endorsement codes
  • Excellent knowledge of Driving Hours and WTR
  • Minimum PPE , Steel toecaps , Hi Vis , Hard hat .
