Owen Payne Recruitment are seeking an experienced Farm Engineer to join a leading agricultural client located the Telford area.

Due to the nature of this role, previous experience as a  Farm Engineer is essential.

    • Duties of a Farm Engineer:

  • Carry out routine servicing of all vehicles
  • Replace essential fluids and lubricants
  • Ensure documentation is accurate and up to date
  • Complete end of season overhaul and repairs on a wide range of agricultural machinery
  • Ensure all machines and vehicles are in good working condition
  • Transfer equipment to alternative vehicles as necessary
  • Replacing parts and assist in building new machines, within the workshop environment.
  • Diagnose faults on machines using hydraulic or pneumatic systems and low voltage electronics
  • Ensure faults and repairs are carried out effectively and in a timely fashion
  • Carry out field-based repairs as and when required
  • Deal with emergency breakdown repairs

    • Candidate Requirements – Essential:

  • Experience and knowledge of agricultural machine maintenance
  • Experienced with Pneumatics and Hydraulics
  • Strong ability for diagnostics and repairs

    • Candidate Requirements – Desirable:

  • Relevant mechanical engineering qualifications (Level 3)
  • Electronics and Welding (TIG/MIG) Skills
  • Telescopic JCB driver
  • Safe use of Oxy fuels
  • Abrasive Wheels
  • MS Office skills

  • £38,000.00-£41,000.00 pa (DOE)
