THE OPPORTUNITY
As a member of our Southern Region, you will be responsible for assisting with and supporting our feed trials and harvest team. This includes all net, pen and mooring set-up, maintenance, equipment installation and fish transfers. You will also be required to assist with feed trials, feeding fish, maintaining the feeding equipment, fish health checks, undertaking environmental monitoring, monitoring predator activity and assisting in other areas of the zone as required, and have involvement in all other areas of Zone management as required.
ABOUT YOU
Successful Candidates will have:
• A coxswains (desirable) and valid driver’s licence (essential)
• Eye for details and the ability to work with tight deadlines
• Good communication skills
• The ability to work as part of a small team
• Experience in Aquaculture, Marine Farming or working on the water is desirable but not essential.
A copy of your driver’s licence must be submitted upon application.
It is an inherent requirement of this position that work be performed safely whilst upholding Huon’s Values. The appointed person must be able to build and maintain strong working relationships with key stakeholders. Knowledge of work health and safety regulations is preferred.
