Driver Hire Uxbridge are recruiting for  Van Driver 3.5t (TEMP WORK) for our companies within UB postcode areas (Uxbridge / Greenford / Southall / Hayes / West Drayton etc)

PLEASE NOTE ALL ROLES ARE ON A TEMPORARY ADHOC BASIS – SHIFTS ARE NOT GUARANTEED

PAYE between £12.89 and £15.69 per hour (including holiday pay)

    • Type of shifts (depending on company):

  • Multi drop deliveries in and around M25 (up to 20-30 drops only) – B2B deliveries
  • Car and Van (incl. Sprinter/Luton) Deliveries
  • Delivering catering equipment, printers, electrical supplies, piping, flooring etc
  • Builders merchants – tool hire equipment
  • Shifts are mainly during the week, day shifts, Monday to Friday (occasional weekends)
  • Start times can vary between 5:30 and 8am

    • Duties:

  • Communicate with customers to confirm delivery details and address any concerns or issues
  • Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance, including checking fuel levels, tyre pressure, and fluid levels
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries, mileage, and fuel consumption
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations

    • Rates of pay:

  • We pay for a minimum of 8 hours a day (breaks are not paid)
  • Overtime is paid after 9 hours
  • PAYE between £12.89 and £15.69 per hour (including holiday pay)

    • Requirements:

  • Valid UK CAT B licence for at least 2 years with no more than 6 points (no DR DD TT IN)
  • Manual driving licence
  • You must be over the age of 25 years for insurance purposes
  • At least 1-year experience as a van driver or in a similar role is preferred (references required)
  • Physically fit, as some jobs require lifting and shifting
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with customers and team members
  • Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and safety standards
