HGV Driver

Driver Hire Bournemouth and Salisbury are now offering an exciting and flexible temporary opportunity for an experienced and professional HGV driver in Salisbury.

As part of this role you will be required to complete deliveries in an HGV vehicle. Unloading will be completed with a pallet truck or by the customer at the delivery site. 6-7 drops is the typical amount of drops per round for day shifts and night shifts are usually a single drop at a pallet hub in the midlands. The successful candidate should be flexible and happy to do Class 1, Class 2 or 7.5 Tonne driving.

Days: Monday-Friday

Start time: 07:00 AM

Start date: ASAP

Location:  Salisbury

Pay Rate: £14.12-£20.73. Quoted rate is for PAYE advanced holiday pay.

As a HGV driver you MUST have:

  • a minimum of 6 months of recent commercial HGV experience
  • a valid UK HGV driving licence
  • a valid CPC and digital tachograph card
  • no more than 6 penalty points (no DR, DD or IN codes)
  • your own transport to get to and from work

    • As a HGV driver you will be responsible for:

  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, colleagues, and customers
  • Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies and procedures
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety
  • Safely operating HGVs to transport goods to various locations
  • Maintain accurate records of deliveries and vehicle maintenance
